Thanks for visiting our website and giving us an opportunity to tell you about ourselves and about Shear GLory. We’re George and Lynn, and we’re the reason behind the capital G and L in GLory. With a combined 50+ years in the cosmetology and barbering industry, we understand the GLorious feel of a perfectly fitting and great performing pair of professional shears.
Hi, it’s Lynn. I’ve been working in the beauty industry for over four decades and at one time owned seven salons. When it comes to haircutting shears, I’ve used a wide variety over the years, and I know what feels right in my hand and gives a great haircut. I know that a stylish design makes my shears memorable and conveys my ability to provide a customized hair cut, which keeps clients returning. I also know the importance of an ergonomically correct scissors, to keep me healthy and happy in my career.
As a cosmetology instructor for 20 years, I am endlessly energized by the student learners I encounter. George and I enjoy visiting schools of cosmetology to share our expertise regarding the purchase, use and care of professional shears. The Shear GLory student kits provide stylists with the top quality and reasonably priced cutting instruments that will last long past graduation day. Shear GLory invests in these technical colleges by providing scholarships and by serving on advisory and governing boards.
Hi, it’s George. After training under a master sharpener and sharpening shears for over six years, I’ve developed techniques that result in a superb cutting edge. I like to take my talents on the road, meeting people in the industry, sharing my expertise and sharpening shears at salons and schools. A hard-steel haircutting shears that’s expertly sharpened will slice through hair with ease, unlike shears composed of soft steel which tend to quickly become dull.
Together, Lynn and I share our expertise by leading “Success in Retail” and “Shearology” classes at salons and schools in Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida and Georgia. We understand what is required to succeed in this business and take great pride in contributing to its ongoing prosperity.
Find out for yourself what it means when we say “It’s all about the feel and the steel.” Call or email us today to place your order or arrange a sharpening service.
